Description: This memorial event is created with two goals in mind. First and foremost, it is about honoring Boris’s life, celebrating his essence and the lives that he touched. Therefore, if you would like to participate in this part, you are welcome to bring any stories or memories about him that you would like to share. If you would like to speak at this event, please let us know so we can include you in the program. Boris’s friends are a very big part of organizing and creating the event in order to bring to the event as much of his spirit as we can.
This event will done on a “community” level. Therefore, a second layer to this memorial is about conveying a strong message regarding the choices that we make in life. The emphasis of the message will be on choosing a sober life and making sober choices. There are several organizations that may wish to participate, including: West Hollywood Mayor’s Office, LA County Fire Department, LA County Sheriff’s Department, Chabad of LA, MADD and others as well.
We are still in the middle of organizing and setting this up. We don’t know what exactly will happen and at what level, but there is a possibility that it will be televised or at least taped. So even during the time of this event, Boris will continue to contribute to the beauty and joy of our planet, as he did in his life.
If you would like to attend, participate, speak, volunteer, or help in any way in organizing and conducting the event on May 18, please call Daniel Ivshin at (323) 337-3411 or Ella Ivshin at (323) 823-7772 or email to may2008event@gmail.com
You are welcome to bring any stories or memories about Boris that you would like to share. If you would like to speak at this event, please email us and let us know so we can include you in the program.
Daniel is Boris’s older brother and Ella is Boris’s Mom. There are also group of Boris’ friends who are very much involved in creating this event. The main contact on the “friends” side is Nikki Oliva at 310-600-5476.
Let’s together make this event memorable and beneficial for all of you, for all of us and everyone else. You have our permission to invite to this event anyone who you think should be there. We trust that you understand how difficult it is to keep everyone and everything in mind for us at this time. Therefore your effort in letting the “right” people know is truly appreciated. We trust your judgment. In order to keep everyone updated and informed, please refer them to www.borisivshin.com. Thank you and God Bless.
